Write It Down

Why should we keep records? 3 Nephi 23:6-13
  • Gratitude Journal
Try to write something you're grateful for each day with out repeating. Or keep a Gratitude Journal each Thanksgiving or each child's Birthday. Another great idea is an I am... journal. I am smart...I got an A on my math test.

  • One Line a Day
Write a few lines each day or week and keep
them all together in a journal. Keep it at the kitchen table and use it as a family journal.
  • Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Newsletter
  • Send out a newsletter each week, month , or year to
your family. Keep one in a binder for yourself.
  • Jar of Treasures
  • As you go on an adventure find a treasure to bring back and place in jar. Keep a record of the items and where they came from.
  • Journal in a Jar
  • Each day or week take out a journal prompt from jar, glue prompt in journal and write.
  • Journal your Trips
  • Keep maps, tickets, postcards and pictures together in a
travel journal to look back and remember the fun
    things you experienced.
  • Oh the places you go
  • Keep a journal by taking pictures of the places you,
your kids, your feet, or your bike go.

  • Scrapbooks
Scrapbooking: it's journaling with pictures. Let kids make a page for themselves for the month to keep
  • Faith Promoting Stories
Keep a record of the spiritual happenings of your and
your families life. Like the when your prayers were answered
or when you put your trust in the Lord. Have your parents and grandparents write their stories or better yet Record your Grandparents telling their stories.

holiday cards to send to your family.

  • Art Trading Cards
Cousin can trade their own art cards with each other.
The only 2 rules for Art Trading Cards is they must be 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches in size and they can be traded, but never sold.
  • Family Get togethers or Reunions
Keep a record and take a picture each time the family is all together. You never know when life will change and that picture might never be quite the same.

Make a memory game with your family pictures. Great way for little kids to learn who their relatives are that they don't get to see very often.
  • Family Trivia Games
Learn about your family with a homemade trivia game.
This would be great to do at a family reunion!
